The 15 Sled Dogs

A statue for Taro and Jiro. When an Antarctic research team left in 1950 with 15 sled dogs, they were forced to evacuate and left behind the dogs. Thinking a secondary rescue team would pick up the dogs a few days later, they left them chained with some food. The team never arrived. A year later, another expedition found that, incredibly, two of the huskies had somehow survived. They became the heroes known as Taro and Jiro.
