Rokudai-Jizō (六大地蔵), six large Jizō statues to indicate just how important our bodhisattva friend Jizō Bosatsu has become. Even now, Jizō statues can be found everywhere, not just around Osorezan. They've become a nationwide symbol of protection against evil demons.
