Lake Kussharo is close to Kawayu-Onsen town, so I thought I'd walk there to see what it's like. It's totally deserted. There's a cranky hotel and some residents, and really not much else. It would've been better to use a bicycle to be able to explore a broader range, because there are some points of interest even farther along the lake, but walking it was just too far.
