Hachinohe is up north in the TÅhoku region, and seemed a pretty good alternative to Aomori which was booked full. Aomori hosts the Nebuta festival, but it was soon to become a happy accident. Hachinohe, as it turns out, hosts a different, overlapping festival: Sensha.
