Grizzly Bear

The grizzly bear that is indigenous to Hokkaidō, the second-biggest island that comprises the Japanese mainland. During summer, they are active in the wild, and hikers may encounter them. Bear-sightings are closely regulated and in many regions you can call a special phone number upon sighting a bear. It will then be registered and dealt with accordingly.
