It's extremely common to see plastic or wax models of food in the windows of restaurants in Japan. That's really handy! But, here is a shop where they sell such models. A small selection only, and shops like these actually cater a little bit towards tourists, rather than restaurant owners, but still interesting to see you can buy those models for yourself.
