In a nutshell, Kyoto station. It's one of the most spacious and architecturally interesting station buildings of Japan. The station goes three storeys into the ground, enclosing a vast array of shops, restaurants, and the subways. Into the upper levels around floors 9 to 11, yet more restaurants. And weaved throughout the entire station is the i-Setan department store, which can be an absolute maze to traverse.
