Originally used for pleasure cruises by a feudal lord of Himeji, this "kawagozabune" is a reconstruction of the houseboat originally built between 1682 and 1704. A luxurious thatched roof, Japanese cypress for the woodwork, and gold leaf for decorations on the outside.
