Having arrived at my ryokan, Hotel Mikaya, I was asked to change into a yukata, because that's the norm for the ryokan and for Kinosaki's onsen area. Before that, I was guided to this '8-tatami' room, that has an additional porch looking out into the garden, and a hallway for improved privacy.
